Taking the kids to Disney is insane. But most, if not all, parents do it anyway. Why? Because we’re CRAZY (and let’s admit it, despite it all, Disney is fun)! A day at Disney is a total emotional roller coaster and you have to be cuckoo to electively put yourself (and your kids) through it. The highs are HIGH, but the lows are looowwwww.
Here are the 12 stages of a day at Disney shown in real pictures from a recent day at Disneyland with my son:
Anticipation – This is going to be the BEST DAY EVERRRRRRR!!!!
Euphoria – I’m loving life!! Disney ROCKS!
Contentment – This really IS the happiest place on earth!
Delirium – Ermergad this place is the BESTEST!
Manic Insanity – Happyhappyhappyhappyhappyhappy!!!!!
Doubt – This is supposed to be fun, right?
Exhaustion – Another LINE????
Defeat – I can’t handle ANY MORE!
Anger – This place SUCKS!
Betrayal – I HATE YOU, MOM! Why did you make me go to Disney?
Forgiveness – Sorry, Mommy. I don’t really hate you.
Happiness – Thank you, Mom. That really was the best day ever.
So you see, all the hype is right on. Disney really is the happiest place on earth. You just have to go through a few conflicting emotions before you get to that happy place.
